Swami Veda Bharati Visits Germany in June 2006

Swami Rama's disciple, Wolfgang Bischoff frequently holds 3, 10, 15-day silence retreats now for nearly a decade.

Swami Veda attended the most recent retreat.  Here are some photo hightlights from Hoerstel, Germany.

During one of his lectures, Swami Veda was encouraged to talk abou this childhood and he eplained how the first part of it he was spent surrounded by huge piles of Sanskrit books for comparison and research.

Then from age of 12 he spent his youth sitting on the stage.

He explained how he never played and never held a ball in his hand.

(Mind you this was during World Cup fever in Germany!) and that particular day people had struggled to decide to attend World Cup game or Swamiji's lecture.

During the next day's session, one of his hosts presented him with a ball as Wolfgang exclaimed, "Now, Swamiji, you cannot say I have not held a ball in my hand."
